The Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center (TMAC), founded in 1995, exists to enhance the global competitiveness of the extended manufacturing enterprise in Texas.  TMAC is an affiliate of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership program of the National Institutes of Standards and Technology within the U.S. Department of Commerce.  We are also in partnership with the University of Texas in Arlington.  TMAC’s manufacturing professionals work with small to medium sized businesses to provide training and technical support, as well as assist in implementing best business practices.

The Metroplex Region of TMAC supports approximately 7,000 manufacturers in 18 counties in north central Texas.

Our staff has been carefully selected using a combination of education and experience for the selection criteria.  91% of our staff has 10+ years of experience in the manufacturing arena.  91% of this staff has engineering or related degrees and 39% having advanced engineering or business degrees.  Our highly trained staff has helped over 755 businesses in the Metroplex Region since TMAC was founded.
